Embroidery Update: Whirled Peas
July 5, 2008
I just finished another freestyle embroidery piece. It’s completely covered with stitches and about the size of the palm of my hand. Once again, the pysanky design is from Zenon Elyjiw’s Sixty Score of Easter Eggs: A Comprehensive Album of Ukrainian Easter Eggs. The swirly things around the egg are just my pea-pod-ish doodles.

What gorgeous colours. I love the way it looks old too, as if it had been unwrapped after 70 years in tissue. It’s lovely to see something so bright that doesn’t look new.
BEAUTIFUL!
Wow this is beautiful! What a talent you have!
Kalo Paradiso for the Transfiguration today!!
