On the Wearing of Aprons: a Manifesto

Say La Vee has wise words on the wearing of aprons. Like me, she’s for it.

Should I mention the Hillbilly Housewife here? She waxes eloquent on aprons as a uniform for stay-at-home moms. I myself think the movement could be wider, but that’s a small quibble.

I’m all for the pants-under-dresses thing, too, while we’re discussing what Say La Vee has to say. Big drape-y palazzo pants are excellent for this. Think salwar kameez, if you’re having trouble envisioning this concept.

(the ‘carnival apron’ pic is from ialuna.com, where they sell quite a few of those cool aprons from Funktion)
